Taking the Plunge – Big Life Changes

It’s been a while since my last post. Almost a year.

And I have to say, there have been some big changes in my life.

If you remember before I was talking about working hard, long hours at a high-paying job so you can eventually take the plunge and quit that job.

Well, it has finally happened.

I made the decision to quit my job and depend only on myself for my income.

It was not an easy choice.

Around November I started an online business. And it started making enough money that I could consider quitting my day job and fully support myself.

It didn’t completely replace my income but I still make more than the average Joe in my area.

And I no longer answer to a boss. (Even though I had a great boss.)

No more 80+ hour work weeks.

No more alarm clock.

My friends, I now feel free. And it feels great.

Even though it’s still a little bit scary.

I was able to move back to my friends and family.

In fact, my friend built a room in his garage that I am now renting.

I guess I’m in that tiny house group now.

I don’t mind a tiny space. I kinda like it actually.

My rent, electric, etc. bills have been cut down massively. I’d guess I’m spending around 66% less on housing costs now.

Now I have time to do what’s important.

I can see my family and friends.

I can go to the gym consistently.

I can get adequate sleep. (no more 3-4 hours of sleep per night and then working 12+ hour days, 7 days a week.)

And I can work on my business.

As you can see, there have been big changes in this last year of silence.

I’ll write more in-depth on everything I covered here.

I have a lot to say and I know it can help others do the same.

So we will talk again soon.
